Op. Dr. Hünkar Batıkhan studied at Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine (1995–2001) and completed his ear, nose and throat and head and neck surgery specialisation at Ankara University Faculty of Medicine (2006). He then served as a military doctor at the Foça Military Naval Base (2007–2008) and completed compulsory service at Elazığ Harput State Hospital (2008–2011). From 2011 to 2019 he worked as an ENT specialist at Özel İzmir Can Hospital and other private hospitals in Izmir. Since November 2019 he has run a private practice in Karşıyaka, Izmir, alongside his work with JFS Clinic.
His day-to-day work covers the full range of ear, nose and throat medicine rather than aesthetics alone. On the functional side, he treats nasal obstruction and sinus disease with functional endoscopic sinus surgery, corrects a deviated nasal septum with septoplasty, investigates and treats snoring and sleep apnea, manages allergic rhinitis and nasal polyps, and performs tonsillectomy. He also treats middle ear problems and inserts ear tubes, assesses and treats balance problems and vertigo, carries out eardrum repair surgery, and manages neck masses, including their surgical removal when needed. His tear duct occlusion surgery addresses chronic watery eyes caused by a blocked tear duct.
Alongside this functional practice, he also performs facial aesthetic procedures that sit within ENT and facial plastic surgery: nose aesthetics (rhinoplasty, primary and revision), prominent ear aesthetics (otoplasty), and facial filling.
