Prof. Dr. Merve Biçer graduated with honours from Akdeniz University Faculty of Medicine and completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Izmir Atatürk Training and Research Hospital between 1998 and 2003. She stayed on at the same hospital as Chief Assistant until 2011, before taking up a post as Assistant Professor at Izmir University Medical Park Hospital from 2011 to 2017.
