Cookie Policy
This site only uses the storage it needs to work. Analytics cookies (Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity) and marketing cookies (Google Ads) are set only after you agree to them in the cookie banner. Refusing is as easy as accepting, and you can change your choice at any time using the “Cookie settings” link at the bottom of every page.
What cookies and similar technologies are
A cookie is a small text file a website saves in your browser. Similar technologies — browser “local storage”, tracking pixels and scripts from other companies — work in a comparable way, so this policy covers them too and calls them all “cookies”.
Some cookies are strictly necessary: without them the site, its forms or your saved choices would not work. Under the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (KVKK) and the KVKK cookie guidelines, the EU ePrivacy rules and GDPR, and the UK Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR) and UK GDPR, every other cookie needs your prior, active consent. Continuing to browse the site is not treated as consent.

Microsoft Clarity records how pages are used — clicks, scrolling and mouse movement — to produce heatmaps and session replays. Clarity is configured to mask the text on the page and anything you type into forms, so it is not recorded. We do not use cookies to show you personalised advertising on this site.
Your choices
When you first visit, a banner asks for your choice. “Reject all” and “Accept all” are on the same layer and have the same weight; “Manage choices” lets you switch analytics and marketing on or off separately. Until you choose, no analytics or marketing tool is loaded at all.
You can change or withdraw your consent at any time with the “Cookie settings” link at the bottom of every page, or with the button below. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that took place before it. When you withdraw, we delete the cookies set on our own domain; cookies set on a provider’s domain (for example Microsoft’s) can only be removed in your browser settings.
You can also block or delete cookies in your browser. Blocking strictly necessary storage may stop the site from remembering your choices.
Patient videos and fonts
Videos. Patient story videos are hosted on YouTube. We show a still picture first; the YouTube player (from youtube-nocookie.com, Google’s privacy-enhanced mode) is only loaded when you press play. Once it loads, YouTube may store data in your browser and receives your IP address, under Google’s own privacy policy.
Fonts. The site’s typefaces are currently loaded from Google Fonts, which means your browser sends your IP address to Google when a page opens. We plan to serve the fonts from our own server so that no request goes to Google.
Transfers outside Türkiye, the UK and the EU
Google and Microsoft process analytics and advertising data in the United States and other countries. These transfers only happen if you accept analytics or marketing cookies. Transfers abroad take place only on the legal grounds set out in Article 9 of the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698. More detail is in our privacy notice.
