E-max veneers in Turkey, made from lithium disilicate porcelain
E-max veneers are thin lithium disilicate glass-ceramic shells, around 0.3 to 0.7mm thick, bonded to the front of healthy teeth to change their colour, shape or length. At JFS Clinic in Izmir, Turkey, treatment is a personal quote, confirmed once your dentist has reviewed photos of your teeth.

Your price and your dates
E-max veneers Turkey cost and available dates
E-max veneers are priced personally, by the number of teeth treated and the shade work involved — there is no fixed package figure. Send clear photos of your teeth and your coordinator comes back with your personal plan and the dates your dentist has free. Most patients are in Izmir within about a week, on the dates they choose.
Am I a candidate?
Who is a good candidate for e-max veneers?
A good candidate has healthy teeth with deep-set staining or small gaps whitening cannot fix, wanting a change lasting 10 to 15 years rather than 5 to 7. E-max suits several visible teeth at once.
Tooth staining and uneven edges, why whitening alone can't fix them
Some discolouration sits on the enamel surface and responds to whitening; other staining, from root canal treatment or an injury, sits deeper and whitening cannot lift it. Chips and small gaps are a different problem — no whitening reshapes a tooth, and bonding wears within 5 to 7 years. A lithium disilicate veneer, around 0.3 to 0.7mm thick, is built in a lab to the exact shade and shape agreed with you.
Signs e-max veneers may suit you
- Teeth with deep-set discolouration that whitening has not shifted, often from old fillings, antibiotic staining or past root canal treatment.
- Small chips, uneven edges or minor gaps you would rather close with a shell than years of orthodontics.
- Healthy, structurally sound teeth with enough enamel left to bond to — a missing tooth needs an implant instead.
- You want a result that looks like natural enamel from the side as well as head-on, where e-max's translucency differs most from a crown.
- You are not a heavy teeth-grinder, or you are willing to wear a night guard — grinding is what chips a thin porcelain shell early.
| E-max veneers | Composite veneers | |
|---|---|---|
| Material | Lab-made lithium disilicate glass-ceramic | Resin built up by hand, chairside |
| Visits needed | Two, several days apart | One, usually finished the same day |
| Typical lifespan | 10 to 15 years with normal care | 5 to 7 years before polishing or replacing |
| Stain resistance | High, glass-like surface resists staining | Lower, can pick up stains over time |
| Typical candidate | Wants the most natural, longest-lasting result | Wants a faster, lower-cost fix for one or two teeth |
What to discuss at your e-max veneers consultation
- How many teeth you want changed, and whether they need matching to teeth staying as they are.
- The exact shade your dentist will build to, checked against your skin tone and surrounding teeth.
- Whether any tooth needs treatment addressed before veneers go ahead.
- How much enamel will be prepared to fit the veneer underneath.
- Whether you grind your teeth and may need a protective guard afterwards.
This is general guidance, not a diagnosis. Your dentist makes the final decision after seeing your teeth and photos.
Not every veneer is the same
E-max veneers vs feldspathic porcelain and composite
E-max lasts 10 to 15 years over two visits; composite lasts 5 to 7 years, same day. Your dentist chooses based on how much change each tooth needs.
- 1Thin layer of enamel prepared
- 2Nerve and inner tooth left untouched
- 3Veneer pressed from lithium disilicate
- 4Veneer bonded in place
How an e-max veneer is made and placed
| Material | Best for | Preparation | Typical lifespan |
|---|---|---|---|
| E-max (lithium disilicate)This page | A durable, natural-translucency change across several teeth | Minimal, around 0.3 to 0.7mm of enamel | 10 to 15 years |
| Feldspathic porcelain | A very subtle change on teeth that need little correction | Minimal to none, sometimes under 0.3mm | 10 to 15 years, more technique-sensitive to fit |
| Composite | A single chip, gap or shade change, finished the same day | Minimal, built up directly on existing enamel | 5 to 7 years |
| Zirconium crowns | A full-arch makeover where several teeth are worn, heavily filled or already crowned | Full tooth reduction, more enamel removed | 10 to 15 years or longer |
Which material fits depends on your natural tooth and how long you want the result to last — your dentist confirms this at your consultation.
E-max vs composite veneers, how your dentist decides
The choice starts with what your consultation shows. Your dentist checks how much healthy enamel each tooth has and how many teeth you want to change. A single chip or shade mismatch often points toward composite. A fuller change across several visible teeth, or a result meant to last well over a decade, is what e-max is built for.
The materials behave differently too. Lithium disilicate has much higher flexural strength and takes a high polish that resists staining for years. Composite can be adjusted chairside in minutes; an e-max veneer, once bonded, is adjusted only at the edges.
The visit plan follows from the material. Composite is built up and polished in a single appointment. E-max is prepared and covered with a temporary veneer first, then bonded a few days later once checked against your shade and bite — a gap built into your stay in Izmir, not an extra trip.

What can delay your e-max veneers date
Travelling within a week does not mean every case goes straight to preparation. A few things decide your safest plan, checked before any tooth is touched. If your consultation shows an issue, the plan changes, not the whole trip.
| Factor | Why it matters | What usually happens |
|---|---|---|
| Active gum disease | Bonding against inflamed gum lowers how well it fits | Gum treatment comes first |
| Untreated tooth decay | Decay under a new veneer can keep spreading | Decay is treated first |
| Teeth grinding (bruxism) | Can chip or loosen a thin shell faster | A night guard is usually recommended |
| Very little remaining enamel | A veneer needs healthy enamel to bond to | A crown is suggested instead |
| Pregnancy | Elective dental work is often postponed as a precaution | Most dentists wait until after |
In the UK, the NHS rarely funds veneers, treating them as cosmetic in almost every case, so most people compare private dentists at home and abroad. Wherever you go, ask who is preparing your teeth, which lab makes your veneers, and who you contact if one needs checking once home.

The treatment
How e-max veneers are done, step by step
Four steps, two visits days apart: shade agreed, 0.3 to 0.7mm of enamel prepared, a lab-made veneer pressed, then bonded in place.
Treatment starts before any tooth is touched. Your dentist and the lab agree the exact shade, shape and length with you, against a shade guide held next to your teeth in natural light, so the result looks like your smile.
Once agreed, teeth are numbed with local anaesthetic and gently prepared, removing a thin layer of enamel, typically 0.3 to 0.7mm, from the front surface only — noticeably less than a crown needs.
Inside the treatment
E-max veneers made and fitted in four steps
- 1Shade and shape agreedMatched against your own teeth, in natural light.
- 2Thin layer of enamel preparedAround 0.3 to 0.7mm, under local anaesthetic.
- 3Scan taken, temporary veneer fittedDigital impression sent to the lab the same day.
- 4Final veneer bondedChecked, bite-adjusted and polished in place.
How an e-max veneer is placed
A digital scan of your prepared teeth is sent to the dental lab, so your final veneers fit your mouth precisely. A lithium disilicate ingot is pressed into the exact shape of your tooth and layered with porcelain stains to match your shade. A temporary veneer is fitted the same day.
When final veneers are ready, the temporary is removed and each one is tried in, checking fit, shade and bite. Any small edge adjustment is made before bonding with a resin cement designed for lithium disilicate, which also gives the veneer its final strength.
Once bonded, your dentist checks your bite again, trimming any high spot. The margin where the veneer meets your gum line is polished smooth. A night guard is discussed here if you grind your teeth.
Local anaesthetic keeps the area numb, so what you feel is pressure rather than pain. Preparing a few teeth takes under an hour; a fuller set of 6 to 10 takes longer, split across both visits.
Settling in, week by week
E-max veneers settling in, week by week
Most patients feel normal within 1 to 2 weeks, with only mild gum tenderness and cold sensitivity along the way. Move the slider to see what to expect at any point.
Settling in after e-max veneers is much shorter than surgery, since nothing heals beneath the skin — the main adjustment is your gums and bite. The first days are numbness wearing off and mild cold sensitivity; the first couple of weeks are gums settling; from there, most people simply forget it happened.
Sensitivity to cold or sweet food is common in the first week, as the prepared tooth and gum adjust. While your temporary veneer is in place, your dentist shows you how to care for it before fitting.

What to expect
E-max veneers results and how long they last
E-max veneers typically last 10 to 15 years with normal brushing, flossing and check-ups — longer than composite, which usually lasts 5 to 7 years. You see your new smile the day your final veneers are bonded; the gum line keeps settling for a few more weeks, when the shade match becomes clearest. How long yours last depends on your bite and routine care.
Results vary from patient to patient. Your dentist will tell you what is realistic for your teeth at the consultation.

Questions
E-max veneers in Turkey, frequently asked questions
How much do E-max veneers cost in Turkey?
E-max veneers at JFS Clinic are a personal quote, not a fixed package price, since cost depends on how many teeth you treat and the shade work each needs. Your coordinator sends a personal quote after your dentist reviews your photos; the final price is confirmed once your dentist sees your teeth on Day 2.
See all package prices →What are the disadvantages of E-max veneers?
A small amount of healthy enamel is removed and cannot grow back, and the lab work over two visits costs more than composite. A chipped veneer usually needs replacing, and heavy grinding can still damage one without a night guard.
Where can I get the best E-max veneers in Turkey?
No clinic is objectively best. What matters is the dentist's experience with this material, the lab making the veneers, and how carefully shade and shape are agreed before any tooth is prepared.
Are E-max veneers better than normal composite veneers?
Neither is universally better. E-max is stronger, more translucent and typically lasts 10 to 15 years but needs two visits. Composite is quicker and cheaper, finished the same day, but usually lasts 5 to 7 years. Your dentist recommends one based on your case.
Compare veneer types →How are porcelain veneers fitted?
E-max, a porcelain-type glass-ceramic, is fitted over two visits. Your dentist first prepares a thin layer of enamel, around 0.3 to 0.7mm, and covers the tooth with a temporary veneer. The lab-made veneer is then bonded a few days later, once its shade and your bite have been checked. Your dentist confirms the plan at your consultation.
How soon can I get E-max veneers in Turkey?
Most JFS patients are in Izmir within about a week of their first message. Teeth are prepared and scanned on one visit, then veneers are bonded a few days later once the lab has made them.
From first message to your first visit →Is it safe to get dental veneers in Turkey?
Safety comes from the dentist and lab, not the country. JFS Clinic is licensed for health tourism and your veneers are fitted by a dentist who works with e-max regularly.
On a scale of 1 to 10, how painful is getting veneers?
Preparing teeth is done under local anaesthetic, so you feel pressure rather than pain. Afterwards, most patients describe mild gum tenderness and sensitivity to cold for a few days. How sore it feels varies from person to person.
How many teeth do I need E-max veneers on for a full smile change?
Most patients treat the 6 to 10 teeth that show when they smile. Fewer can be treated for a single chip or shade mismatch. Your dentist confirms the number after seeing your smile.
Can E-max veneers be combined with whitening or implants?
Often, yes. Teeth staying untreated are usually whitened first, so shade is matched once. Combining with an implant is also common when a missing tooth sits near teeth needing a shade change.
How long do E-max veneers last and when will I see my final result?
You see your new smile the day your final veneers are bonded. With normal brushing, flossing and check-ups, e-max veneers typically last 10 to 15 years. Results vary from patient to patient. Your dentist will tell you what is realistic for your teeth at the consultation.
